ABOUT Kodak Center The former Kodak Park Recreation and Cafeteria, Building 28 was once the center of employee services and activities for the sprawling Kodak Park campus. Recently re-branded the Kodak Center, the facility is anchored by a 1,968-seat auditorium, and is further supported by amenities including 40,000 square feet of conference space, a cafeteria, restaurant and fitness services, and a 13,000sf gymnasium. In early 2017, Eastman Business Park hired SMG to attract acts, promote them and manage customer experience for these shows. The Kodak Center is envisioned to be the anchor of a new arts and entertainment district within the larger Eastman Business Park campus. Additional investment is planned and underway for the theater, with improvements including a large digital marquee completed in 2017, and a visitor’s center and lobby renovations to follow. ABOUT Eastman Business Park In 2008, EBP became a multi-tenant site and is now home to over 100 companies with over 6,000 employees producing greater than $4 billion in output. Many of these companies are involved in the research, manufacturing, and development for industries like energy storage, food and beverage, plastics, biopharma, chemical manufacturing, and photonics.
Eastman Business Park, in collaboration with Caliber Commercial Brokerage, is seeking proposals for development of a coveted lot across from the recently renovated Kodak Center on West Ridge Road. Eastman Business Park (EBP) officials see the 1.1-acre space as an opportunity to complement its investment in Kodak Center Theater with restaurant, retail and office space options. Rebranded as the Kodak Center earlier this year, the venue expects to attract over 100,000 patrons annually, and developing the open space on the south side of West Ridge Road is the next step in creating a vibrant entertainment district at the hub of Eastman Business Park. The location has the benefit of being in a high-traffic area with nearly 40,000 vehicles pass every day and a large workforce at EBP within walking distance. Beyond commuter traffic, the location is central to a dense population of households with incomes exceeding $75,000. Caliber Commercial Brokerage, LLC distributed the RFP to developers on Tuesday, Oct. 24, and hope to select a project by February 2018.
